Social Security and Retirement
We believe that:
- the President and Congress must secure the health and stability of our nation’s Social Security system for future generations.
- Citizens should have more tax-deductible options for contributing to retirement savings and thereby discourage total reliance on Social Security.

WisGOP Platform Context
Source: Republican Party of Wisconsin Platform, Approved by the RPW Convention – 5/18/2024.
The current Wisconsin GOP platform warns against irresponsible borrowing that transfers debt to future generations and calls for balanced, responsible budgeting. That fiscal principle matters when voters discuss Social Security, Medicare, retirement, and promises made to seniors.
For Pierce County, this issue should respect seniors and earned benefits while encouraging honest debate about long-term solvency, work, saving, family responsibility, and the budget choices that affect retirees, workers, and future generations.
