Tom and his wife, Chris, owned and operated Wilderness Cruises for 20 years, and he also served as the dam tender on the Willow Flowage for 29 years.

He has served Wisconsin at the town, state, and federal levels, including as a Town of Little Rice supervisor, state legislator, and member of Congress.

He is running for Secretary of State with a focus on transparency, accountability, and easier public access to state records.

John Leiber was sworn in as Wisconsin State Treasurer on January 3, 2023. He and his wife, Diane, reside in Cottage Grove, and he grew up in Racine where his family ties go back four generations.

Before taking office, John worked as a legislative aide in the Wisconsin Legislature and served as President of his local Park and Recreation Commission and as a commissioner for his local Housing Authority.

John holds a BA in History from UW-Parkside and earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
