Pierce County Context

Constitutional rights shape many local conversations in Pierce County, including free speech, religious liberty, the right to keep and bear arms, property rights, parental involvement, privacy, due process, and limits on government power.

RPPC supports discussion that connects these rights to everyday civic life: public meetings, schools, local ordinances, law enforcement, elections, and the ability of residents to speak, worship, organize, work, and participate without unnecessary government interference.

Residents can stay involved by attending local meetings, asking candidates clear questions, following legislative updates, supporting candidates who respect constitutional limits, and sharing accurate information with neighbors when public rights are being debated.

WisGOP Platform Context

Source: Republican Party of Wisconsin Platform, Approved by the RPW Convention – 5/18/2024.

The current Wisconsin GOP platform centers liberty on the Bill of Rights, including free speech, a free press, the free exercise of religion, the right to bear arms, and private property. It also stresses constitutional limits on federal power and law written and enforced within those limits.

For Pierce County, rights are not abstract. They affect public meetings, schools, local ordinances, law enforcement, property, churches, small businesses, and the ability of residents to speak, organize, worship, defend themselves, and participate in civic life without unnecessary government interference.
