RPPC 2024 Membership Renewal 2023 mid-year
Most Wisconsinites don’t realize that county party work is strictly voluntary. None of us are reimbursed for the hundreds of hours donated to education, promotion, administration, and election efforts. Our popular Pierce County Fair booth and fall picnic are just two examples of these efforts.
Your 2022-2023 membership dues and contributions helped to pay for our storage unit, promotional materials, headquarters at the Victory Center in River Falls, special events, and contributions to Republican Candidates.
To support candidates who oppose government funding of abortion and advocate for individual freedoms and public education transparency, we need your continuing support.
A membership renewal keeps you eligible to receive our party newsletter, notices of special events including candidate meet and greets, political swag and materials, and attendance at county, district, and state party caucuses.
* If you want to be a delegate voting to endorse candidates at these caucuses, you must renew by January 1, 2023, 30 days prior to the county caucus, and be a member in good standing as defined in the Constitution of the Republican Party of Pierce County (including volunteer hours with the county party or a Republican-endorsed candidate).
We look forward to your renewal and support for 2023, to help uphold constitutional freedoms, rights, opportunities, justice, and the rule of law in our state, county, and school boards.
Please provide an accurate email address with your membership form to receive timely information. We currently use Nationbuilder for our communications. Please add info@pierce.emailnb.com to your safe contacts.
HIGHLIGHTS:
RPPC Victory Center
For the first time in our history, the Republican Party of Pierce County acquired shared funding from the Republican Party of Wisconsin (RPW) to open a Victory Center. Its size and location on Main Street in River Falls allowed us to hold campaign events, distribute campaign signs and literature, and promote our party’s purpose effectively. Volunteers kept the center open to focus on voter contacts, which concluded after the midterms.
Keeping an inviting Victory Center open year-round will require a substantial fundraising effort. Rent on Main Street in River Falls ranges from $1,500 to $2,700 per month. RPW negotiated an agreement with a landlord allowing RPPC to pay $200/month, with RPW covering the balance plus utilities and internet, thanks to assistance from Senator Ron Johnson’s team.
Our presence on Main Street also engaged voters unfamiliar with RPPC’s role as an all-volunteer organization, fostering political dialogue and possibly influencing voting trends amidst redistricting.
That Red Wave That Wasn’t: Despite widespread anticipation of overwhelming success for Republican candidates, Wisconsin’s outcomes remained mixed, avoiding a total shift to Democratic control like neighboring states.
ELECTION ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
COMMENTARY
Reflecting on regional wins, Annette Olson noted, “Congratulations to Gae Magnafici, Clint P. Moses, Warren Petryk, and Shannon Zimmerman for your re-elections with significant margins. Your dedication to improving western Wisconsin is evident.”
Pierce County supported Republican victories across all races, with only select municipal wards in River Falls going to Democrats, indicating ongoing efforts to expand influence.
Statewide, all Republican incumbents and candidates for open seats secured victories.
Nationally, Republicans are poised to regain control of the House, a pivotal development in legislative oversight and leadership.
Republicans also won the national popular vote by a margin of 5-6 million, demonstrating widespread support and mobilization in key states.
The Alaska U.S. Senate race remains contested between Republicans Lisa Murkowski and Kelly Tshibaka, highlighting concerns over ranked voting systems.
Examining Election Losses
There will be further analysis of factors impacting the gubernatorial race, where Tim Michels underperformed expectations, particularly on abortion issues.
Exit polls emphasized abortion and economic concerns as decisive factors among voters, shaping electoral outcomes across Wisconsin and nationally.
OUR CONCLUSIONS
Engaging with the 10% of unaffiliated voters remains critical, emphasizing candidate integrity, policy coherence, and voter education to secure future successes.
We must effectively communicate conservative values and policies to undecided voters, underscoring the stakes in preserving constitutional freedoms and national prosperity.
Internal unity within the Republican Party is vital to confronting policies that threaten individual liberties and economic stability.
